Data Centre to clear 509 Trees
Developer ISPT has applied to develop an area that will require the clearing of 509 trees adjacent to Lane Cove National Park. The details can be seen at Julius Avenue Data Centre | Planning Portal - Department of Planning and Environment Friends have objected to the development in its current form and have asked that the footprint of the development be reduced to protect the habitat corridor which includes habitat for threatened species.
The photos show what will be lost, including some of the best habitat remaining in the area including mature trees with hollows, threatened species and species such as Boronia that occur rarely in the area, plus small birds such as the Yellow Robin shown sitting on its nest that are completely extinct in the surrounding suburbs.
Contact Friends of LCNP to help save this precious remnant.
